The best way is to add them to your crawfish/shrimp/mushroom/corn/potato boil, then eat while still hot......mmmmmmmmm.

Are you sure they were peanuts?  You gotta get em fresh and know how to do them. the canned stuff or most of the roadside places suck. mike |

Out west too. My father in law use to make up them and sit infront of the TV for hours. I can't stand them.

for this batch, big pot with 1lb of raw peanuts. enough water to cover them all. 1/2 container of salt. let boil on a slow rolling boil for about 6-7 hours. When they begin to get soft adjust water to taste for saltiness. Some folks like to change the water at the end to reduce it. Keep an eye on the water level if it gets low the salinity will go WAY up and make them salty as hell. mike |

I had the canned ones before from Alabama when I was a kid. Hell, I must be a weirdo because I liked them so much I ate them shell and all!
Am I an alien -or does anyone else eat them "whole"?
