Cheney has been attacked TWICE now. Last night and then tonight during his speech.

Also a group at the youth convention this morning during Andy Card's speech.

Now they are moving the main stage into the middle of the hall?!?!?!? WTF?

How the hell are they going to ensure security for the CIC? Their track record so far is abysmal!

I guess tomorrow night the President will have his own personal personnel, but I don't like this set in the middle of the hall.

Just being paranoid?

I haven't been able to keep track of the convention very well (no TV, etc.)  How was he attacked?

Yesterday during Guliani's (I think) speech a "protester" jumped up in front of where Cheney was sitting and started screaming at him 'How much money have you made on this war' or something to that effect.


Tonight, as he was speaking, you could see him look to his left and pause. The camera switched to a group looking down as security wrestled another "protester" to the floor and the they showed her being taken out.


Am I surprised that none of the pendants mentioned how uncivil the LEFT is acting at the RNC? No.

reports are that the guy that jumped into the vp's booth was a student accepted to yale. he apparrently volenteered to work at the convention, went thru some checks, and training prior to the convention, then when he spotted an opportunity to create a disturbance, took it.
