I'm sure there are a few that have a stunt planned for George's speech - the RNC really does need to take a look at just how some of these yoyo's got their credentials to get in, to say nothing of the SS)

They've known this thing (The RNC) was going to happen there for months. Wouldn't be too hard for some to have "Morphed" into Rep' volunteers during those months for a chance to make an ass out of themselves for 10 sec's at the convention. They're not "Sneaking" in (IMHO). They've been invited by someone who thought they were something else.

I honestly think these protestors are helping the Republican party more than they are hurting it. I expect quite a few swing voters will look at their behavior and come away with the conclusion that the democratic party belongs to the fringe elements of our society.
We sure as hell didn't pull crap like this at the DNC. |

Are you talking about the youth convention? Rumor has it that the press gave them their creds, since they were all setup before the screaming started. They all dropped their creds while getting carried out, SS spent a while looking in the area.
Synopsis: during the youth convention, a few students stood up and started booing and blowing wistles, showing signs they had taped under their clothes saying "drop the debt". SS came in and dragged them out. |

Several have been volunteers... a big call went out for volunteers and these guys jumped through a lot of hoops and months of training and orientation to get their 15 seconds of fame. My brother is on the professional campaign staff for the RNC. He has been working on this since last summer and he told me the volunteers were all hired several months ago. I had the chance to work on the media relations team, but we had to pay our own way. Hardly what I would consider volunteering. Don't need the salary, but wasn't going to pay my own travel, lodging, meals and basic expenses for a week while working 18-20 hour days. I figured it was going to cost me $1,250-$1,500 to work the convention, plus the lost week of vacation time.
