Bue outline means barely... think 1% in the polls. I tend to agree with you. TN didn't go for Gore, they aren't going for Kerry!

Cool!
Thanks, Hiram_Ranger, for your updates in General Discussion! Eric The(Republican)Hun |

how is vermont strong kerry, with the best gun laws in the land?
The more Kalifornians that take over my state, the worse it gets. Clark County where Vegas is in has the highest population of any county in the state and it is also the only county in the state that Gore won in 2000. |
Vermont is the biggest idiosyncrocy out there... pro-gun, but Pat Lehay is one of the senators and Howard Dean was their governor. You can have class 3 and carry concealed without a permit no matter which state you are from... and you can even carry to Sunday's gay wedding... Don't try to understand... don't try to understand... |
The land of Dean? Need you ask? |
There... fixed it for ya'! (...only after the few remaining good Californians, including those who post here, had ample time to evacuate - leaving the real Lefties behind, of course ) |
Wow, Michigan is very liberal - and they're merely outlined in blue. Now that's impressive.
Nevada has been close the last few elections. All the new growth in Las Vegas has pulled in a bunch of Californians.
That's totally cool, but all it seems to take is one little stunt or news story to change all that. What give me most of my doubts is, I see more coverage of the protesters that the RNC. As soon as the left sees those numbers, the antics are gonna start all over again.

you didn't include pretty pictures... the crayola crew likes pretty pictures... |

Not likely but possible. Tennessee has a Republican governor last term along with the Democrats in the State legislature who decided that they was going to have a state income tax no matter what the population though about it. He became incredibly unpopular and despite the Republican is the State legislature working to and eventually killing the income tax it hurt the Republican Party As a result we now have a Democratic governor who is actually working with the Republicans in the legislature to straighten out some major problems. He has become pretty popular as a result and might help Kerry. It also does not help that the Eastern part of the State which has been mostly Republican from 1861 has been badly hurt with job loses which keep on coming and coming. I doubt Kerry can carry TN but it is possible. |
Actually I did miss it the first time. I took a quick look at the Rasmussen Report site, very good information there. Thanks for reposting it!!! |

Yowza! |

I can't believe Bush and Kerry are neck and neck in Michigan!
I need some W stickers!!! |
Going by bumper stickers, window stickers and yard signs, I say Tennessee will be in the Bush camp again. I am talking rural areas like where I live and urban areas like where I work and do everything else.
I know Im not, didnt go for Gore either and I ve lived here all my life, now if I could only get my parents turned, but here in Tennessee it is interesting, Ive never voted straight party lines, Ive always voted conservative or the limp wrist, conservative always wins with me and for the most part in my district its like that, somes dems are conser. and the rep. are not, and the other way around, you really need to make an educated selection and study the candidates in Tennessee to make the right decision, especially on gun control, Just my thoughts, anyone else from here think the same way? |
A lot of Democrats are very conservative in Tennessee the problem is many of those very conservative Democrats in West TN vote straight party line in national elections. East TN is pretty solid Republican and had tended that way for 140 years. |
They are bringing their liberal ideas to a state that has been run sucessfully for the last decade, unlike Kalifornia.. I'm sure alot of you hav this problem, that gun discussions come up even when you don't initiate them. Well, I'm amazed just how many people seem to think our AR's are for pyschos and CCW holders turns this into the wild wild west. I'm not surprised how many of them moved here from places like LA, where they are many times more likely to get shot. |
I think your right Mike, I know my parents are as conservative as they come and they still think they are all that way(dems), and they are not, still cant believe they thought slick willy was conservative. But I cant convince them other wise. |
Had that fight with my mom for years. Her views make Bush look like a screaming liberal but come election time she votes Democratic Party line, she cannot help herself. |
Didn't a Socialist (Bernie Sanders) get elected to the house from Vermont? He was part of the Dem Caucus (Surprise!) |
My neighbor is a union sheep that believes everything that the union spoon feeds him about Kerry. My Bush/Cheney yard signs will dwarf his. If I could just find where to get some of them.
Remember: The states in blue aren't really supporting Kerry... They are hating Bush.
Unfortunately, for our purposes, that distinction doesn't really matter... |
There's a Campaign office on Eureka and Fort St. I picked mine up there. Turn out will be the key, Granholm faded badly at the end and could have been beat. |
It might when it actually comes to voting. Will hating Bush motivate voter turnout as much as or more that really supporting Kerry will. |
You don't know how much I hope you are right about that! |
Thanks for the heads up. That is pretty close to where I work. |
Hmmm - surprised to see PA in the Bush corner, even if in the "barely" category. Was one of the contested states last time around, but I believe Gore ended up beating Bush pretty soundly, and if anything, it seems like it is getting more left-leaning year after year, as Philly and Pittsburg keep devouring the rest of the state.

I think they need to adjust the number of electoral votes to match geographical size instead of popuplation. Aint right having 80% of the land ruled by what people in 20% of it think things should be like.

Have you ever seen the Red/Blue map that goes by counties? It's eye opening, in Mich you see blue around Detroit, Lansing and Flint and the rest of the state in red. Same with PA and IL and even NY. The Dems rely on getting high "turnout" (read: corruption) in the urban areas where they have 90% of the vote to make up for the rest of the state where they struggle to hit 40%. |
California is red in most of the state, with LA, Imperial County (migrant workers), and most of the bay area blue. Why did the commies get blue, by the way? |
Calif needs to be split into 2 or 3 states. The rural Red Blooded low population counties get dicked by the few over super-populated Blue Demo counties. IIRC my county was 80% Bush in last election...! Or change the Electoral Votes to county instead of state voted. |
Wow, I like that idea almost as much as the one where only real property owners get to vote. |
That was a law that was removed... If the "only landowners can vote" rule were still in effect, I can guarantee our current position and choices wouldn't be so "bleak". |
