Sunday August 29, 2004--The latest Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll shows President George W. Bush with 48% of the vote and Senator John Kerry with 45%. The Tracking Poll is updated daily by noon Eastern.

This is the first time since the Democratic National Convention that Bush has been up by more than a single point in the Tracking Poll. It is the first time since June 12 that he has been up by three points.

Yesterday, for the first time all year, our projection showed Bush with an advantage in the Electoral College. We will be issuing another Electoral College update today at 3:00 p.m. Eastern.

Our current projection shows Bush with 200 Electoral Votes to 190 for Kerry. The magic number needed to reach the White House is 270 Electoral Votes. This is based upon a series of new state election polls from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Missouri, and Ohio. Other recent state polls include Minnesota, California, Florida, Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada.

That is true, but with Kerry behind in the polls the demos will be getting more and more shrill. They will start eating their own also. It's gonna be fun to watch.

It will be intersting to watch all the demonstrations and rioting in the streets that will take place in New York this week. From all indications, evry kook fringe group in the states will be showing up, and they aren't going to link arms and sing Koom Bay Ya. These folks will really push it to the limit, and the comparison to the riots in Chicago in 1968 will be unavoidable. You have to believe that there are plenty of Dems that know that, and they know it's not a plus for them, since those folks in the streets will be espousing exactly what they did at their own convention. There will be some great film footage on the late news this week!

Bush should get a bounce. Bounces occur because candidates USUALLY introduce all the wonderful newfangled ideas to the public that create vision of dancing sugar plums in their sleep. Kerry on the other hand just parroted: "I Served in Vietnam, or Anything Bush does, im goona do it the opposite way because to polls tell me too....."
