In another post, you were being spoofed and a part of your (supposed) message was that you (supposedly) wanted Kringles (misspelled Krinkles). I am assuming that your prankster was discussing Danish Kringles, a delightful pastry that I truly miss.
The reason I miss them and the reason for my post is partly due to the passing of my maternal Grandmother, Helen Nelson. In additon to being everything a Grandmother should be, she was full-blooded Swedish and a wonderful cook. We ate traditional Scandanavian Christmas dinner and while I could pass on the Lutefisk(sp), I was first in line for the Oostakake (sp) with Lingonberry topping for dessert.
To my point....as a finger food on Christmas and on special occaisions, for breakfast, Grandma Nelson would have a fresh-made Danish Kringle for us all. A sad and frightening day occurred a couple of years ago, when we thawed and ate the last Danish Kringle Grandma ever made.
We obviously have no replacements and I was wondering, even though you are Dutch and not a Dane, would you know of a source for these pieces of heaven?
Thanks in advance for any help, and double thanks for getting me all misty eyed remembering my Grandma for a few minutes.
