BUUUUUUUUUUURN !!  If you don't care too much, just sand it, bondo/putty and use a spraycan and don't look too close. If this car is your baby, then local Maaco's can apparently be pretty good without being too expensive (since they are franchises, the quality can vary a lot - so check them out first). |

There is a salvage company (junkyard) in Putnam, CT on Route 44 that specializes in Lincoln Continental. They have hundreds of them. You might be able to get the parts you need. I think the name is Baker or Barker or something like that.

Form what you described, maybe around $750.00. They may have to paint the whole side to make it match, considering its gold, which can be a bitch to match.
