Bumping. I’m too far for this. Hope someone closer can help.

@Kitties-with-Sigs
If necessary, bribe the current owner to put him in a boarding facility. Those costs could be crowd funded in about 5 minutes. If you have someone to make the drive but no car, I’ll pick up the rental. |

As a reminder folks..
This was Mark’s Personal Dog. Kind of important. |

Quoted: Do we have a member who could pick up a dog in Norwood, Ohio, and hold the dog for a day or two until we can make the transport chain happen? Mavis is in danger of being taken to the shelter by an adopter who has broken our trust. She will get a good home, perhaps already set pending Jordan's speaking with the potential new mom and dad. But we have to get her to safety immediately, no matter what that takes. I'm four hours south and car in the shop, so do we have an Arfcommer who could stand in the gap? **HIGH-ENERGY DOG ***NOT GOOD WITH CATS ***German Shepherd--so a strong dog, though she is not large. If you could pick up and handle a dog like this for a day or two, please speak up! Thank you to anyone who could help. ~Kitties View Quote Hopefully not a member here |

@dphill
Just went back and looked at Mavis’s pics in the Joker rescue thread. Man, that dog has it all.. GSD/MAL(maybe) athleticism. Working dog focus and potential. Family dog temperament. All in a smaller, more manageable package that works for most personal circumstances. I swear, retirement for me can’t come soon enough. Just me, a few Mavis’s and a nice piece of land and I’m good for the remainder of my days… Duke |

I live near Cincinnati but there is no way I could take in another dog for even a day, our current dog is very aggressive toward other animals.
With that said, if there’s anything else you need, shoot me an IM. I’d be happy to help in any way that I can. |
|
I have some catholic nuns who already have a GSD who may help. I’ll ask them in the morning.

Still in the game for helping with transport set up as offered previously. Let me know if it goes beyond Ky-Ohio.

Good looking girl let's get her home! I live in the same geographic location listed as dphill so I'm no use for this transport.

I'll do it. PM me the details.
@Kitties-with-Sigs How soon is the pick up going to happen? I'm in Cincinnati but want to be briefed on the situation and who currently has the dog. It's Norwood so I assume they are ghetto trash. I have dogs of my own that can sometimes be intolerant and 2 kids but I could pick her up by noon today. I can't be stuck with another dog for days/weeks on end. Mark was a good dude and I shot out at his place years back so I feel I owe him one. |
|
It looks like the most likely route to Milwaukee would be well out of my area. If some weird routing has to take place that will run her through the NW OH area, let me know. I may be able to run a leg.
For now, here's another bump. |
|
I’m in the area in northern Kentucky. I could house the dog for a couple of days but need info on where the dog is. I have lots of experience with shepherds.
|
|
I'm ready to pick up up anytime. Waiting for details. I'm only 15 mins away from Norwood.
I thought this was urgent? |

Good on you guys helping with the transport and dphill for adopting Mavis. Sounds like you're somewhere in my neck of the woods

@ibbob Rules are, you gotta take pics of the handoffs, and along the way, and post here in this thread. We all want to see your progress! If anyone has trouble posting photos or if anyone wants their faces blurred for persec, I can do that. Just text or IM me the photos. |
