Lunch - The Camo Cafe at the back of Sports World, 6841 E. 41st Street - alternatively, you could beat feet outta town before the rain hits. Please don't @ the OP. Get my phone # via IM ahead of time & text me during the show. I will be updating the OP w/ polls, times, & locations throughout the week, so please check in the OP for updates. Pro tip on navigating through Tulsa: Don't get on the highway. The whole city is a grid, with the numbered streets running west/east and the named streets running north/south for the most part. Ost.maybe
It's on the calendar but Bidenomics has effected the decision. |
|
Lol, you don't HAVE to buy anything.
It's like going to a topless bar - you can just look. |
|
Planning on going again this year.
ETA: just checked the calendar I'll be deer hunting so I won't make it this time I'll have to wait till April. |
|
I'm going to try to get up there Friday and leave Sunday.
This time I'm hunting for a handful of very specific Rolling Block parts, so hopefully I won't need two full days. |
|
Outstanding! Any recommendations? Last time I was there I stayed at a Methotel. It did have a pool, though.

According to the intranet, drill weekend, but this information has proven to be unreliable.

Cuddling w/ your rifles does NOT count as a family get together.

I need to make.it.to that show and quite jelly y'all will be going to the Davis Arms Museum. That is an awesome museum.

I have no idea, man, completely forgot what we were talking about.

Quoted: We now have 3 open seats, but I can probably increase the table size if I know sooner, rather then later. Mondos is a very busy place with exceptional food, atmosphere, and service. Dinner Saturday Contra HQ And guest jwb211 And guest backbencher Open Open Open View Quote Mondos is very good, used to eat there a lot before they moved to Brookside area. |

Wish i could confirm, but things at work are a bit fluid right now. We are merging a bit early so ill have to drive about 10 to 12 miles to work instead of less than a mile. The October schedule was not up last night. But my schedule shouldn't change too much i was told. Guess we will see when things actually happen. Been trying to make it to this show for years, and something comes up every time.

FYI from a local, Black Bear Diner is terrible, Camo Cafe is very small and you could do a lot better for lunch. Hit up The Spudder for a steak, it’s a Tulsa institution.

Camo Cafe is very small, but it's in a gun shop on the way out of town. If you've not seen enough guns the previous 4 days, you've one last chance to gorge yerself. Think we hit the Spudder a couple of years back.

View Quote We have did Sunday breakfast the last 2 shows at Black Bear and it was exceptional on both visits. YMMV ETA: I have also eaten there numerous other times and they have always delivered a quality meal, just like Talley's does (last year's thread someone was bad mouthing Talley's) |

Fri, Sat, Sun breakfast times for vendors, damn morning people, & normal punters in the OP.

Does anybody know the name of any Houston area FFL Dealer who is planning to have a table setup at that Tulsa Gun show? It's easier to have a TX dealer at the show take possession of a handgun I want to buy, instead of my having to pay to have a Tulsa FFL at the show ship it to a Houston Dealer. (it could get damaged or lost in shipping after I already put cash up front).
|
|
Might check w/ show occasionally. Might hit the next Houston area show and ask around.

Sorry man. Have fun w/ that wife of yours. Make sure you're taking pictures of her & not the other way round, don't wanna keep buying cameras on vacation.

Am I reading this correctly that there is a get together at the JM Davis museum on Friday morning? If so, I’ll be there.
|
|
There can be. I plan to go on Thursday, help unload & set up on Friday, then wander the show in the afternoon, need to get my steps in.
Anyone else for Friday @ JM Davis? It's not a museum to miss. Breakfast Friday morning will be at Talley's in Tulsa, but nothing stopping you from organizing a breakfast the same morning in Claremore. Pick a spot & time & I'll post it in the OP, or you can join us at Talley's in Tulsa at 8:00, the museum doesn't open til 10:00. Edited the OP so folks can link up w/ you. You coming to the show as well? |
|
Yes, I plan on heading to the show Saturday morning. Wanted to make the Spring show but had to take care of house closing stuff.
|
|
It's getting time for some Friday night dinner recommendations so I can make reservations. I'll let a few chime in with suggestions before I throw out my ideas, and then backbencher can throw up a poll.
We'll shoot for somewhere around 6:30 PM as Saturday morning starts early. Watch you hungry for? |
