Yep 43x plus shield mags is my go to gun now. I actually shoot it better than my G19. I wouldnt mind a lcp max as a pocket/backup gun.
I still use the g19 with rmr as my teowawki gun.

This.

Going from 99.99999999% reliable to 95% reliable isn’t going to cut it in a defense pistol in 2022.

Comparing apples to apples with identical sized gun-frames, a short barrel Glock 43X with it's donkey-dong long grip doesn't apply. I'll just keep my 10+1 P365 with its flat base mag.

Eye roll on that bullshit. People make WAY too much of an issue of the size of the gun. I carried a Beretta Centurion for six years in a belt slide under a shirt and was only made once- when I was cleaning the wheels of my car at the car wash.

You can conceal almost anything with little effort.

Fuck shield arms mags. Inb4 gen2 mags because they can’t get a magazine right the first time in 2022

For me it’s not the capacity or the concealability even. The 365 is remarkable because they made a little tiny gun shoot and feel so good in hand. The 43 doesn’t do that for me.
Link Posted: 5/16/2022 8:15:40 AM EDT

So it’s a +3 mag but it’s substantially longer and more comparable to a regular +1 mag, so really you’re only getting 2 “free” rounds for the space. Cool if you’re committed to the 43 (but why?) but otherwise meh.

My Shield mags are getting the weak spring issue. Rounds lazily drivel up. It hasn’t affected cycling yet but they usually don’t hold the slide back on empty either. Meanwhile my 365/Magguts work like a champ.

By that reasoning the G26 is only slightly thicker and gives you access to the standard Glock family parts, magazines, and accessories. It conceals just fine too. I'd rather have a 26 than a 43 or 43x for

What neither the 26 or the 43X do, though, is fit in my pocket. One's too fat, the other is too tall. The 43 will work, but it only held 6+1 until now.

The 365 and Hellcat will put 11 rounds in my pocket without any trouble at all, so those are what I carry 98% of the time now. I still have my 26 for the rare times I go back to IWB. Ever since the P365 came out, the G43 has only been useful as a niche gun for people who want something pocketable but can't or won't go outside Glock, and the 43X has basically been a worse choice than something else ever since it was introduced.

Except the P365 is just small enough to pocket carry. G43, not so much.  For me, that’s all it’s really about. Cuz if I’m carrying on my belt, it’s a full size, because concealing isn’t a problem.

So, I disagree.  The G43 serves no purpose. I feel the same about the P365 in configurations that make it too big to pocket (XL).

A G43 with aftermarket 9rd mags is a P365 killer? Anybody who actually believes that is a moron. I have a G43 and a P365 and even if they had the exact same capacity, the P365 is a superior weapon in every way.

I also have G48 (so I've done the G43X) and can tell you that for me, the P365X blows away the G43X

If I wore 2 shirts and a jacket, I could conceal an Uzi. But I'd have to drag around an IV tree with me for hydration (Florida heat is a killer).

*I do conceal my full-size 1911 BETTER than my Glock 19/23 though. It's flat and long and hugs the body .

For 90% of my time, I'm in gym shorts and a T-shirt and the only thing that disappears is my 43. With the Pearch +1 the gun carries 8 rounds and I have 1 or 2 8 rounders for spares. When I carried my 1911, no one said I was gonna die cuz I only had 7+1 in the gun.

At this point, I dont want a Sig 365 because EVERYONE has one.

edit* another thread where guys from Michigan or Oregon wearing 2 sweaters and a coat argue with guys from Florida about what conceals better.

And when they finally delivered it they were too fucking lazy to create an innovative magazine design that holds more rounds. Literally every other major manufacturer is now cramming more rounds into the same basic sized envelope using OEM mags.

Sig has a real winner with the p365. I wish the slide could shave some weight but it really is the king of micro compacts.

Great capacity for the size and factory night sights. I could honestly get rid of all of my compact handguns with the lcp or p365.
