TrueMoo is cheap, like a buck and a half for a pint.

I'm actually more of a Nestle Quik guy. Strawberry and strawberry-banana are da bomb. They're smaller containers though (14 oz), and cost two dollars

I get Nestle Quik.  Every now and then I'll make a glass of chocolate milk and it hits the spot.

I've had chocolate milk that had gone bad.  Tasted exactly like spoiled regular milk.

Premade chocky milk tastes so much better than making it yourself with powder or syrup.

Although Nestle used to make Quik in cookies & cream flavor and that shit was bomb.

Chocolate milk? Yeah, Wilcox. 4 ingredients.

Milk, cream, sugar, cocoa. In that order.

That's it. Comes out to something like ~7%.

Shaking required.

If those aren't the ingredients, it can fuck off. This ingredient list or anything that looks like it...

"Milk, Liquid Sugar (Sugar, Water), Cocoa Processed with Alkali, Dextrose, Corn Starch, Salt, Cocoa, Carrageenan & Artificial Flavor."

is wrong, just wrong.

Aldi's chocolate milk is good and is also cheap.  I buy some every time I go.

I like the fairlife stuff because I became lactose sensitive seemingly out of nowhere when I turned 30, I can do NesQuik in moderation.

I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but growing up my grandparents had a farm and we used to get raw milk from them. The thought of opening the gallon buckets we would get it in, and having to scoop off an inch of cream before you could even get to the milk (every single time you wanted milk), and still winding up with the white flecks all over your cereal still turns my stomach 20 years later.

I find it odd that humans drink milk, since they aren’t baby cows.  I still love dairy though.

Chocolate milk is in no way inferior.

It simply comes from chocolate cows.

I know because my mother told me so.

Prefer mine from Oreo cows. Not too dark, not too light. Just right.

One time at store, I heard this mom telling her kids that she wouldn't buy them a gallon of chocolate milk because it was made with crappy reject milk.

I've never forgotten this, and I think about it every time I am jonesing from chocolate milk, and I grab a pint of TrueMoo from QT.

Is it really inferior milk, only made palatable by delicious chocolate flavoring?

Up to 15% by volume can be repasturized milk that fell below a date threshold while still at the dairy, this process can give it an off taste unless used in a product with some type of flavoring. Like chocolate milk, or some type of soft serve ice cream mix, or every Wendy's frosty you have ever consumed...

But it is still perfectly good milk.

premixed chocolate milk thats good has to be made from whole milk.

The low fat/2% version is like drinking chocolate water.

Why do you suck at chocolate milk?

This is the correct answer:

@jordanmills

Because you already have the added chocolate which makes the low-fat delicious, who needs the extra fat?

Long ago, when I was 5 or so, my grandfather worked for Carnation, driving a truck around and delivering stuff.
He would tell us that chocolate milk was made from milk that passed its expiration date, and that we should not drink it.
We told him, "So what?" and drank it anyway.

Whole milk chocolate gives me the wind something fierce. Worse than plain whole milk which I only do rarely. Long, loud and surprisingly dry farts.

Yes milk that is spilled on the floor flushed into drains and used as chocolate which makes good cover up for the dirt in it.
