I just heard from my aunt that the FBI came to my town, raided a mosque and took away a few Muslims in handcuffs along with their computers. No news story link yet since it just happened a few hours ago.

Can't be true.  The FBI has better things to do.  Are you sure they weren't just really tan gun-owners???

I just found an old story from a few years back:

Four former Muslim teachers surrender to county authorities

08/22/2002

They were charged 10 months ago by police with sexual offenses at Islamic boarding school in Shamokin

SUNBURY — The search for four former teachers at the Institute of Higher Islamic Studies and High School in Shamokin, who were charged 10 months ago by Shamokin police with various sexual offenses including watching pornographic sites on the Internet in the company of teen-age students and making indecent contact with them, ended Wednesday afternoon when they turned themselves into authorities at Northumberland County Courthouse.
Muhammad Amir Usman, 19; Muhammad Imran, 26; Sumaira Zubair Asim, 24, and Humaira Ramzan, 20, who are brothers and sisters, were arraigned by Northumberland County Judge Charles Saylor on charges filed by Shamokin Detective Robert John that relate to offenses that allegedly occurred between January and August 2001 at the Institute of Higher Islamic Studies and High School at 818 E. Race St. and at 102 N. Vine St., Shamokin.
The four suspects, who turned themselves over to officials in the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office, were set free after posting $2,500 bail apiece. They were ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing at the office of District Justice John Gembic III of Shamokin. A date for the hearing has not been set.
The four former Muslim teachers, who formerly lived in Philadelphia but now reside in Baltimore, Md., were accompanied to the arraignment by their attorneys from Baltimore.
According to John, the four suspects reportedly fled to Philadelphia after committing the alleged crimes and had been labeled as fugitives until their arraignment Wednesday. In addition to Shamokin police, a search was conducted for the former teachers by the FBI, Immigration and Naturalization Services and the U.S. Marshal’s Office in Williamsport. They were not charged as fugitives because they turned themselves into authorities.
Usman and Imran are charged with two counts of displaying obscene and other sexual materials and one count each of flight to avoid apprehension and corruption of minors. Asim and Ramzan have been charged with corruption of minors and flight to avoid apprehension.
John said additional charges are pending against the four defendants.
According to a criminal complaint, while working as teachers at the Muslim boarding school in Shamokin, Usman and Imran solicited help from several students to gain access to the Internet so they could view pornographic Web sites. If the students wouldn’t gain access to the sites, the teachers would tell Jamil A. Chaudry, founder and chairman of the institute and high school, lies about them so they would be disciplined, the complaint stated.
Police reported Imran and Usman also passed notes to the male juvenile students so they could give them to female juveniles in the neighborhood. The notes contained messages asking the females to have sex with the teachers.
A 14-year-old male student told authorities Imran instructed him to go onto the pornographic sites in a school office about 25 times during the evening or early morning hours in the eight-month period. He said he and Imran would look at the all the porno sites including sites dealing with lesbian, bestiality and child pornography.
The juvenile also told police Imran touched his private parts while looking at the porno sites.
Imran and Usman are accused of telling the 14-year-old male student that they wanted to have sex with his sister on more than one occasion.
Two other male juvenile students at the school also told police Usman and Imran watched pornographic materials on the Internet in their presence and gave them notes to deliver to female juveniles in the neighborhood asking them to have sex with the teachers.
One of the male students at the school told police Imran started a fire in the basement of the school in July 2001 in an attempt to burn down the building. The student said he extinguished the fire with water.
According to criminal complaints, a female student who enrolled at the school in January told police Ramzan asked her to sleep with her on Aug. 8. The victim told police Ramzan also kissed her on the lips and face every day, making her feel uncomfortable. The female student told police that neither Ramzan nor her sister, Asim, ever touched her private parts.
She said both female teachers told her to go off and have sex with their brother, Imran. The sisters told the female student that their brother loved her. Imran also secretly passed notes to the female student that contained vulgar language, police reported.

The new activity today was at the same place, so I'm not quit sure what the FBI found this time.

Keep us updated. This could be interesting.

Heard on Neal Boortz show this morning that some where in TN the state troopers were led on a high speed chase with a moving van. They threw something out the window. When they finally got it stopped, they detained two Israeli men but it turned out their identification were fake. No idea as to whether or not the were really Israeli's or not or some other nationality. When they found the item they threw out the window they described it as an "unknown" substance. This might turn into something interesting also. Haven't been able to find the story on the net yet though.

I posted that story last night along with 2 other incidents with similar m.o.'s involving israeli nationals.

Not quite sure why the FBI was there, but maybe as a follow up on the previous raid. Not exactly exciting news, however.

Fugitive caught at mosque

SHAMOKIN — A fugitive wanted by Berks County authorities for a domestic assault in Reading was taken into custody Wednesday at a mosque at the corner of Vine and Race streets.
Andrew Perry, 53, of Ninth Street, Reading, was taken into custody by Shamokin police and deputies from the Berks County Sheriff’s Office in Reading on an arrest warrant. He was charged with simple assault and harassment in connection with a March 23 disturbance.
Perry, who was reportedly employed at the Institute of Higher Islamic Studies and High School at 818 E. Race St. and 102 N. Vine St., was transported by deputies from the Berks County Sheriff’s Office to Berks County Prison, where he remains incarcerated.
In addition to Perry’s arrest, a raid was allegedly conducted by FBI agents in Williamsport at the Islamic boarding school on Wednesday, but no further charges were filed.
The mosque and boarding school reopened during the past couple months after being vacated for several months. A handful of students reportedly attend classes at the school.
Wednesday’s arrest wasn’t the first time authorities have conducted an investigation at the school.
In 2001, four former teachers were charged by Shamokin police with having improper sexual relations with students at school.
Muhammad Amir Usman, 21; Muhammad Imran, 27; Sumaira Zubair Asim, 26, and Humaira Ramzan, 22, who are brothers and sisters, were charged by Detective Robert John with offenses that allegedly occurred between January and August 2001.
They were accused by police of committing various sexual offenses, including watching pornographic sites on the Internet in the company of teenage students and making indecent contact with them.
The four suspects, who fled from the area, turned themselves over to officials in the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 21, 2002. They formerly lived in Philadelphia and Baltimore, Md.
According to John, the four suspects reportedly fled to Philadelphia after committing the alleged crimes and had been labeled as fugitives until their arraignment two years ago before Northumberland County Judge Charles Saylor.
Arrest warrants were served on the suspects when they failed to appear for their court proceedings on the charges. According to unconfirmed reports, the former teachers reportedly are now living in Pakistan.
