I have taken up buying broken Banshees and two stroke 90s era dirt bikes and rebuilding them and riding the snot out of them.  Its unlimited fun for my family.  Here is a video of my son on his Banshee that I built for him.  Its probably waaaay too fast for him as he had never ridden anything before until this year when I got him on a 1995 KX250 and now this.  He loves the Banshees more than the bikes.  I love the brrrap brrap of a two stroke.

Two Strokes were my first love, spent most of my childhood and a portion of my young adult years chasing that dream on the weekends at the track.  Made it to Loretta Lynn's, so I can say at one point I was fast, and top 40 in the entire nation in my class.

Adulthood, injuries, and responsibilities caused me to see it as a passion not a career.  Ended up getting heavily involved in racing mountain bikes as a cheaper alternative during and after college.

Unfortunately that led to me breaking my neck in 2018, spinal fusion of C4/C5, and partially paralyzing myself.

During my recovery my buddy bought a house with a shooting range out back, and I found my new love.  Ironically, the desire to learn how to shoot a damn pistol well, also doubled as physical therapy and I personally believe helped me heal, both physically and mentally.

Sucks that competitive shooting is basically off the docket for God only knows how long, with current ammo prices.  Guess I'm searching for a new love again.

Maybe I should get a banshee lol.

Honestly as of late, guns are kind meh for me. I sold off a bunch of buy some NV and that's cool as shit. But ammo being such a premium kinda put a damper on the weekly range trips.

I'm not as smart as all that sounds, I'm just curious and I find this stuff interesting. I can't sit still unless my brain is stimulated in some way, I'm like a kid with ADHD, lol.

Is drinking heavily and smoking considered a hobby?

If not then, hobby electronics ( ie I build worthless things with SoCs) and wood working.

I used to be into tabletop war gaming and miniatures painting. Haven't done any of that in over a decade.
