Longmire was entertaining, but so unbelievable, that the only way I could enjoy it, was to pretend that Walt Longmire was an Australian sheep herder, who was dreaming that he was a sheriff in the USA, and that was why everything was so screwed up plot wise, and technical expertise wise.

I did really like the actor, Zahn McLaren, who played the reservation police chief.  He just chilled through everything.

Kinda like Bluebloods, where two of the Reagans have shot and killed more bad guys than the entire balance of the NYPD.

Kind of like Bryan Cranston in Malcom in the Middle vs Breaking Bad

Every Gary Oldman role is his best roll.
He even played a midget in a movie about 20 years ago. He was great in that too.

When the final season of Longmire premiered he and the guy that played Ferg did a live steam and answered questions. I asked him to say something in his natural accent and he said “if I did no one would have a clue what I said”.

He didn’t do it.

If Longmire didn't do anything for you but you liked The Godfather, you'll probably still enjoy Yellowstone.

If you didn't like any of those, then you're probably eagerly awaiting the next time Rian Johnson, Kathleen Kennedy, and 87 assorted Wayans brothers take a giant dump on a silver screen.

And Walt's cabin is located on the west side of a valley about 12-15 miles west of Los Alamos, NM.  Another movie or show was filmed there as well (The Missing?).

Loved Longmire and Yellowstone.  Cannot sit through Godfather -- not really into mafia dramas (yes, despite Yellowstone being called a western version of Godfather)

I'm on my 3rd rewatch of the entire Longmire saga on Netflix.  I really liked Yellowstone too, but it's more a soap opera, where each episode will NOT make any sense to you unless you are up on the ENTIRE series.   Longmire is episodic, and you can still enjoy most of each episode without knowing the entire drama timeline -- each has a beginning, middle and end.  Many episodes of Yellowstone make no sense at all without the context of the entire drama.

Who knows when Yellowstone s4 will air... probably next fall at this rate?
