Having a conversation with my wife. She says that men a genetically predisposed to take care of their wives.
I said ok. I take care of her and provide for her and the kids. No issue there. I bieve that a man should always take care and handle business. Its his job. I asked her who takes care of who in a homosexuals relationship? She was stumped. No answer. I dont have an asnwer either. But now its bugging me and I need to know who takes care of who in those relationships? Who takes care of providing for the family and the children? |

My niece (a conservative lesbian) has told us there isn't gender rolls with her wife. I still question her statement though as my niece has claimed she wanted to be a boy since she was 5 years old. She definitely seems the masculine one in her relationship. Her wife seems to be the feminine one in the relationship.

There is always a Man and a "Women" in a homosexual relationship or in other words one is dominant and the other not. So basically it is the same thing. I have a lesbian coworker and she is working, "bringing home the bacon" and her "wife" stays home with the kids.

Whichever is the alpha. Gender does not matter in single sex relationships, but whomever has the alpha personality assumes the role of provider/protector. This is not limited to just humans either.
At least that’s what my psychology 101 professor said many, many decades ago. Of course the world was still the center of the galaxy then too. |

I don't know if we are so much genetically pre-disposed (nature) to a guardian mentality - or if it's more of a nurture thing.
I've run into quite a few pieces of shit in my years that don't give two hoots about their family or kids. I think we just guard the things we care about - if you care about your wife and kid - you'll defend them. Two dudes probably just watch each other's backs; same goes for two chicks. Ask your wife if she would defend you? That's the real concern. |

In most homosexual relationships I've seen, one of them takes on the dominate role while the other is more feminine activities. (bull/bitch, other nick names).
It is a natural split for one to provide a home and one to provide food and income for that home, doing both isn't as efficient. I don't think I've ever seen or heard of a "Truly Equal" relationship where one can override another's decision at any time. Neither in heterosexual nor homosexual relationships. It seems the natural order of things. |
