In an earlier article titled DOJ Watchdog & Other IGs Launch Probes Into Response to Capitol Riot: Questions Abound, I reported on a Friday announcement from the Justice Department’s inspector general that his office is conducting a probe into how the DOJ prepared for and responded to the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

Apparently, it didn’t take long to come up with at least one conclusion — and solution.

As reported by The New York Times, Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy has authorized the thousands of troops providing security in the area around the Capitol to use lethal force.

Having heard of the passing qualifications number from a local guard unit from a buddy who is an NCO........I'm not all that worried about the Natl Guard and lethal force.

I get that we're all somewhat guilty of only seeing what confirms our beliefs, but you've got to be fucking retarded not to have seen the Guard called out across the country for Antifa/BLM riots for the last couple of years. They were armed then and were cleared in using deadly force then to protect themselves and others from an imminent threat of death or serious bodily harm.

It varies from state to state depending on each state's laws governing the use of deadly force. Typically, an armed NG troop would be legal in using deadly force to prevent the imminent and illegal use of deadly force or when they can reasonably believe that death or serious bodily harm is imminent. These conditions are typically met when they (the NG troop) can articulate intent, opportunity, and capability/ability to cause death or serious bodily harm from the threatening actor. Sometimes there will be verbiage in state law giving NG troops the same powers as state law enforcement activated by the governor which means that also fall under the same penalties for excessive force.

The NG has been called out in a majority of states for protests and riots over the last 2 years. Please show me how many citizens they have shot and why those citizens got shot. I'll wait...
