Went to see my dad today an hour away and stopped by the LGS in town just to see what the ammo situation was like and on one of the used gun tables there sat my hopes and dreams....a very used but still very sexy Spas 12. As soon as I saw it I was ass and elbows straight to that table. This thing had scars all over it. It had lived a very rough life but it was remarkably clean in the chamber. Cycled like it was new.

$3k

I have the money for it, but damn that’s a hike.

Edit: no pics because i failed at life in that moment.

Those things are built like a tank.

Had a first gen years and years ago.

Buy it. It'll probably double in value in two months.

Don’t try disassembling it.

Why? They're pretty simple.

I bought mine about 5 years ago I guess. I've pondered selling it. I have never had the reliability issues people complain about with mine, but it's definitely a pig. Certainly a distinctive weapon, especially with the folding stock and hook.

At $3k I'd be tempted to sell, mine is in pretty good shape. But I think they'll go higher... none have been brought in since... 1987? I might be mistaken on that.

A Spas12 is one of those guns that is super cool until you buy one and shoot it. Then you realize it’s a overly complicated and oversized Raven Arms MP25.

Agreed, I bought a SPAS12 complete with the folding stock in the early 90s.

Garbage.

If it's really a grail gun and you have the scratch, buy it. You will regret it otherwise.

I held mine a few years ago at a show - a legit MAS 36 CR 39. I didn't buy it, and I'll probably never see another for sale.

Ive had one sitting in the safe since 88 or 89 I think. Fired maybe 30 or so rounds through it and then put it away.

Mine was good for show-and-tell when we were watching "Predator" on Cinemax, having a few beers.... and not much else....it passed long ago to its next regretful impulse purchaser

I've owned 3 of them over the years.
The way they look is really the only thing great about them. That said, I obviously always regret selling them & get another.

I had one in the late 80's.

Looking back, it was an 80's kind of gun.
