ATF man was there to kneel on a neck that wasn't being compliant?
The irony. |

Quoted: First officer was a little high strung and needs to get his commands straight, simple commands are better! But overall I don't have a huge issue with it, 2nd officer was fine. ATF agent was an idiot! Had he immediately followed commands it would have brought the tone way down. Responding to an armed individual who you have been told is breaking into a home is a pretty high stress event, it would have been super simple for ATF to get on the ground, within 30 seconds he would have been cuffed and everything would have been handled. Then some "oops. My bad" and everyone is back to work. As a side statement, i have yet to meet an ATF agent who wasn't a dick to local law enforcement. We had a few who were watching a house, they had not informed us at all. When I found one in an unmarked car with no license plate at 3am he acted very similar to this agent. Complete dick to me, he acted like I was in the wrong for even speaking to him. View Quote If you don't want to be a Big Damn Dick, why would you be an ATF agent? |

None of those 3 should have any power over another human being. Ever. What a mess all around.

Quoted: I've worked the job for over 30 years and I'll say the cop acted out of line. Dispatch knew there was an officer on scene and he had already given his badge number. The responding officer asked for his credentials and before he could produce, told him to get on the ground. There was no reason in pulling a gun and handcuffing him. The ATF agent had broken no law, and they released him an hour later with NO charges. All the cop had to do was approach him, he had his hands up, and have him show his credentials. Common sense. Make a phone call to verify if you think you need to. If one of my deputies did this I would chew his ass and suspend him. View Quote *chuckle* |

Quoted: You work the job and get back to us.... Fed was given a lawful order and did not comply...... View Quote Yep. Even seeing his "creds" wouldn't have done it for me until I spoke directly with his boss. (You can get that shit on ebay these days.) When I worked a suit and tie state LE gig we never.... NEVER ..... did enforcement alone and always ..... ALWAYS ..... personally stopped into the local cop shop to let the watch commander know where we would be and what we would be doing. Both so we didn't get shot by a patrol officer and in case things went bad they would already know who we were and what they were going on. That ATF guy is a fucking retard. |

I hate the ATF, but these police officers need more training.
100% avoidable situation. |

I'm really trying not to enjoy this...
fuck that, it's hilarious! Not an ounce of sympathy, really. |

I'm not a cop but yelling "I'm a federal agent!!! I'm a federal agent!!!" at me is a great way to convince me that you're not a federal agent.
Specific information like name, title, branch/division, field office, etc might make me believe you. |

So ATF man is a the home for a shotgun purchase follow up what ever that means. Gets cops called on him for impersonating a PO. Caller said refused to show his badge. Mr. ATF agent states he did show his badge. Yeah not believing that.
ATF agents usually go around with their badge in a pocket? Or should it be worn on the outside? |

Mr ATF man got a taste of CPD tactics going back to Mean Mr Mustards/High Street 2:30AM sweeps. Everybody gets some wood and a paddy wagon ride.

You could say... I am not impressed by the Columbus Police.

Like always, just listen to what the uniformed PD guy is telling you, then all will be ok (most of the time).
Eff Bee Eye guy, what a tard. He could have been embarrassed for 1min, but he chose the 10min + tase route. Good for those PD guys. |

Quoted: Are you aware there are some ATF agents with serious medical conditions that make them this way? View Quote Just some? Is a un-diagnosed mental condition a "medical condition"? Ah, the "power" of the badge. I guess the cockyness increases as you go up from mall cop to library cop to local PD to State PD to Fed ??? The fed tard didnt understand the verbal position of the PD folks? What was so hard to understand, they told him "we got a call about a guy saying .......". In summary, the lady inside doxxed him, while he was standing at her front door. Just to F'n funny. |

The fed guy should have quickly recognized who he was dealing with. Fed guy has no skills what-so-ever. Fed guy screaming the whole time instead of calm talk is an obvious sign he has no skills, perhaps even not fit for the job. I would desk that guy for 1-2yrs. |

Seems like all Feds claim "medical condition" when locals won't put up with their bullshit.
Remember that FBI guy that tried entrap a sheriff in FL? Edit: here he is. Caught on bodycam: FBI agent chasing Florida corruption complaint ends up locked in patrol car Fuck These Feds |

Sounds more whiny than most criminals.
If you have a medical condition that prevents you from laying down, how the fuck do you sleep? And why the hell are you a federal agent? |

When three assholes collide. I bet the ensuing phone calls from that mess were something!
Thanks so.much. best laugh this week. Gonna watch it again. |

Complete dick to me, he acted like I was in the wrong for even speaking to him. View Quote I've had a few encounters with cops over the years, even got stopped once because someone had reported shots fired in the neighborhood and had multiple guns, including submachineguns, pointed at me as I followed their instructions to get out of my car and walk towards them. That was in high school, found out the next week it was a classmate and he'd unloaded some rock salt on an individual of high melanin content looking in his back door in a non-melanin neighborhood. Knowing him, it was probably someone who knew him through illicit activities involving misappropriated electronics or recreational pharmaceuticals, needless to say he wasn't more than an acquaintance. Strangely, staying calm, not arguing, asking for clarification of confusing instructions, etc... has always worked to keep me out of bracelets and from doing the electric boogaloo. But I'm not a Fed, so I don't believe I'm better than everyone else... When I HAVE encountered cops who were power-tripping, the situations got resolved later with phone calls or personal discussion with more senior officers (working armed security at the convenience store right across the street from a mini-precinct had it's advantages), not on the scene. I've never had a cop object when they've asked me to do something that would expose a previously undisclosed firearm to them (no duty to announce here) and I've paused and asked "doing X would require me to put my hands near a firearm, how do you want me to proceed?" Of course, I also try to stay in states where gun ownership and carry is common and the cops are used to it, and I certainly don't go knocking on people's doors :-) (and working security and having to go into a woman's hotel room because she fell asleep on the phone with her husband and he was worried because he couldn't reach her because her phone was off the hook was a bit nerve-wracking, from a liability standpoint if nothing else, it was just me and the night manager so there was no independent witness who could be there with me). |
