I assume that Joeken Firearms's AK-74's use stamped receivers. However, I am not 100 percent on this one. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Joeken doesn't make anything.

Their MP5 clone is a SW. Many of their AKs are SARs. Their AR15s are usually DPMS.

You have to figure out what they are selling (usually Hesse, CAI, etc.) because they won't tell you in their ad.

Also to add, Hesse is out of business and now the same guys have the Name Vulcan arms.Same junk by another name.

They are Bulgarian AK74 kits built on Hesse stamped receivers IIRC. I'd stay away.

joeken has long had a reputation for poor customer service and very long delivery schedules, as well as advertising merchandise for sale that was not even in the country at the time the add was published.

their ak-74's are bulgarian parts sets (new condition) build on hesse/vulcan receivers.

if you want a better grade of ak-74, get in on the group buy with 90 other folks on the ak side of the board. at least ohio rapid fire bakes up their products.

to answer your question, all kalashnikovs have been of pressed sheet steel construction since 1959 with the adoption of the akm. the ak-74 and the ak-1xx series are also manufactured using the stamped receiver.

Its the quality of the build as much as anything.

Poor rivets, ejector tab too short, mags have to be modified to fit.

Very few people who actually buy one seem pleased with it. Many complaints have been posted on various boards.

I would rather have one good SAR-2 to 4 of those Vulcan 74's.

I have seen them and they were pretty much crap. Don't waste your money.

Buy a SAR-2 if you are fund limited and get a SEAK if you can affort it.

You will be much happier.
