I was suprised with this show. It didn't seem like anything that I would like. These two chicks are funny as hell. They don't have a clue as to how the real world lives. They didn't know what generic is or what to do with a paycheck.

Who really cares what a couple of rich sluts do or say or how they live. They give white trash a good name, they prove that money does not buy class or intelligence. I cannot imagine wasting my time watching to fvcked out whores try to grasp a regular life.

They are living in Altus, AR (not Ak, which is Alaska). I'm pleased with the show overall -- I was worried that they would play up Arkansans as a bunch of hicks, but they've done rather the opposite; viz., played the local folks as good down-to-earth people and the girls as slutty idiots from Beverly Hills.
I mean .. I swear some of what those girls say HAS to have been made up ( "What's tax?", "What's generic mean?") ....doesn't it??? jb |

And yeah I think it's played up just a little. We are asked to believe they know what Costco is but not Wal Mart? And I think the family has been encouraged to act a certain way as well. But the show is still funny as hell. I'd say about 75% of it is reality. |

It's questions like that that make me want to see The Simple life paired up w/ Jessica Simpson's show. 3 of the World's dumbest girls, set out on some roadtrip adventure. The show's funny, but the do seem like they might be playing it up a little too much, and going to "shock value." |

I watched 4 episodes tonight. Pretty funny. that Paris girl has some positive attributes. but the Ritchie girl is an ugly ho.
It's believable that Cali rich girl would not know what a Walmart is. I do see wealthy people shopping at Costco, but even middle class people look down on Walmart, going to target instead. Which all seems very goofey to me. kmart, Meir, Walmart, Target, it's all the same made in china crap. |
