I know there is a place to buy bulk food saver bags but I cannot find it now. They had some kind of deal for 1000 for 40 bucks or something like that.

Maybe I should post this over in Survival??

try a google search for commercial food storage equipment. I bought a 500 foot roll of the bag material last year for like 30-40.00. Same stuff and you cut to fit you application.
As i recall it wasn't very hard to find.

Wal-Mart carries the Black & Decker brand, which is about half the cost of the FoodSaver brand. B&D claims that their bags work just fine in FoodSaver sealers.

Don't know if they are cheap here but Costco had them right before Xmas
