I am disturbed by those that think it is right to remove someones rights, if they are accused.

So tell me, which GOD given right/rights are you willing to give up for safety/protection from terrorists?

The First Amendment?

The Second Amendment?

The Third?

Fourth? Fifth?

Any?

All?

Where does it start?

Where does it end?

Is the blood of our forefathers worth so little?

Did they fight, lose everything, and die for naught?

[s]Amendment III

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.[/s]

Never mind! As much as I like my fellow Marines, they can't stay with me. I wouldn't give any of them up...

I don't think any of us would willingly give up our civil rights but it's not up to us. If the feds want to infringe our rights they can and often do (AWB,Patriot Acts). We do as they say or get insubordinate asses thrown in the slammer. They don't give a rats ass about the Constitution in times of turmoil.

Yep, and in times like now, that is what the "evil doer's" want....and we're giving it to them. To hell with the PA...I'd rather be free and at risk than live in a 'Big Brother' state.

"live free or die", and that is exactly what I'm doing whether I break the law or not. As long as I don't hurt anyone else...where is the harm?

Forgive my ignorance of Canadian gov, but IIRC you have rights based on what the king/queen give you?

rights under a monarchy are granted by the Crown and are revokable.
However, the founders of our country rightly recognized that a mans rights are endowed by their creator and are therefore not revokable by man. No matter what people may lead you to believe.

Well, that's it fer him.

If you believe (truely) you have no "inherent rights", you might as well just walk away to the nearest "re-education camp".  (don't worry, there will be one soon.)

The framers of the U.S. Constitution gave us those rights.  While generally very good guys, they aren't God.  [;)]

Damn beat me to it.

Is there one covering women driving?

(huge SUV's across two lanes of traffic too fast during Christmas time while talking on the cell phone and eatting a Big Mac?)

I could do without that one, if I had to.

Sorry, wrong, they recognized that GOD, our creator, had endowed us with those rights, they just affirmed them with the BOR.
