I drove it recently and took 169N out of Tulsa to 59N by Garnett KS and followed that to Lawrence and it took right about 4 hours maybe 15 or 20 minutes shy of 4 hours.
Anyone know a faster route?

The only way I know is through Kansas City....but it probably would not be good for you as the last few Okies that tried it lost most everything, including a Heisman.

No one else makes this drive or is this about as fast as it gets?

You could try I-44 to Joplin, I-70 to K.C. and then to Lawrence...(435 to hwy. 50?)

Certainly an easy drive, as you never have to go into KC (just skirt around it).
