Today at the local gunshow I picked up a fair condition Springfield M1A (serial number shows reciever is from 1960) with two mags for $650 and it was a private sale to add to the sweatness. How about your deals today?

Haven't been to a show in several moths. The last I found a pristine M1 Garand buttplate for $25 and picked up some primers and IMR 4895 and Varget. Apparently back in the day gunshows were places you could actually find a deal, according to my dad. Now they seem to be mobile conglomerates of regular gunshops with bloated prices to boot. Seems I can usually do better online.

Today:

DPMS 16" H-Bar preban barrel $130
DPMS flat top upper $120
Hogue AR-15 grip: $17
CAR-15 gas tube: $12
2x 80% Adventure Line 30 rd mags: $30

I've already mated the DPMS barrel & flat top with a RRA quad rail FF HG. I am presently in the look & admiring phase. Totally sweet, IMO.

Last week I bought an unfired Remy ADL in 30-06 with a leather sling, 40 rds and a Tasco World Class 3x9 for $325.

That is all.

You certain about that date? Springfield Armory, INC didn't start making the M1A (according to Duff's book) until 1973. Sprinfield Armory (as in the gov't armory, not the commercial company) started making M14's in 1959. If what you have is Springfield Armory M14 from 1959 (reweld or otherwise), I'd suggest you find the seller and get your money back, or hide it real good under the bed...

Not a real bargin,A real ugly,nickel plated High Standard Sentinel 6" barrel with white grips in 80%...$60. I did get an old Hunter holster thrown in .
Since it's a double action .22,I could not pass it up. Small show in Greenwood AR. yesterday

I ran the serial number on one of www.battlerifles.com serial number lists and it showed 1959-60, possibly their list is wrong? I'd appreciate any info. you have. The stock has the notch for the selector but no selector is installed.

You are running the serial number as though it was a real Springfield... It is a Springfield Inc. Rifle, they used USGI parts in the beginning, and their own receiver. Running a Springfield Inc. Serial as though it were a Springfield serial will get you a much much earlier date......

wasn't exactly a gunshow find but I got the better end of the deal...

you see, I sold this one guy who thought he knew everything this Springfield M1A for 650... little did he know that half the internals were missing!! schweet right?

two weeks ago i got 1,000 Winchester .224 FMJBT bullets for $15.00 & a bulk pack of 500 for $10.00.......

not at a gun show but scrounging thru the dumpster at our range, i found a Tasco 20-60x40 in it plastic case, the focusing lens was off it & two tiny screws in the case, took it home studied it, then reassembled it & it is a fine spotter scope.., FREE.........!!!!!!!

Bought a new Cav-arms lower with car guards for $100. No tax no yellow form since it was face 2 face. Seemed like a fairly good deal bu I know jack squat about these lowers. Headed over to the cav arms forum for some knowledge.

Yup! Big difference between the two! You looked at a listing of Springfield Arsenal produced M14s.

For $20 I got 1 bag of kettle corn, 2 beanie babies, a tee shirt and a bumper sticker saying "This car insured by Smith&Wesson". And on top of that, I got to smell about 150 people who obviuosly have not showered in about a month.

Do they really sell guns at gunshows anymore?

Picked up a FN LAR paratrooper at the shop I work at.
The manager bought it from someone and offered it to me for $2,100.00
Gun is in 99% condition.
Almost got a HK 91, but another guy that works there informed the mgr of the value.
