This is a couple months old, but i didn't see a thread for it. I only found out because of a petition to ask the Turkish government to punish these assholes with something more than a bullshit fine that's floating around on facebook. Anyways just the kind of people you want in the EU

Welcome to the middle east. Many of the dogs that are rescued from there (Puppy Rescue Mission, etc) have ears that are cut off. They treat dogs terribly over there and it is always a joy to see the soldiers reunite with the ones they saved while stationed there.

A lot of afghan houses we ran through did the same thing to their dogs. Pretty shitty to be a puppy on a 5ft chain 24/7 in the desert.

There is a large difference between professionally docking a pups ears with the ability of anesthesia, surgical knives, and proper medicine after the fact to conform to a breed standard, than takimg a awake, alert puppy and a dull buck knife and butchering its ears off for sport and a picture. Relative worked in a ghetto school for a while, a lot of tortured animals showed up on the property and overheard stories from the kids about doing that sort of thing. Stuff like a cat that had had its eyes drilled out being found on school grounds. Parents there didnt give a shit about that sort of thing, either, would sometimes laugh about it.
