How the fuck would you not realize you were siblings just based on the fact that you share the same exact birthday and are both adopted in probably the same area.
|
|
Wow, we look the same, have the same exact birthday, grew up in the same area, both had parents who were killed in a car crash when we were so young we didn't even have a memory yet, and were both adopted thereafter.
Would you not POSSIBLY consider that the person you're banging is your twin under those circumstances? |

I don't know how in the f**k you could not make the connection before you were at the point of going to invetro therapy... but love happens I guess

They're in Mississippi so it's very common. The only place more common is Tuscaloosa, Al.

They should have kept their mouth shut and not told anyone. If they decided to stay together now, it would be impossible. No reason they couldn't, assuming they could do without kids.

I find it weird that twins would be separated at adoption. I thought that agencies tried to keep siblings together.

The pair are now said to be re-considering their future together. View Quote |

Gonna see a lot of this stuff going forward, as more people take advantage of egg and sperm donation...
Friend of my family is a product of artificial insemination with a donor provided by one of the sperm banks. She started going to school, ran into a guy who she was super-attracted to, and he was attracted to her. However, they looked like brother and sister, damn near, so knowing she was the product of an artificial insemination, she checked: She was, it turned out, dating her older half-brother, at least genetically speaking. He didn't know that his dad had made donations while he was in college, nor did his mom. Ya ask me, I think we're going to have to start doing some more steps in dating, should this stuff become more prevalent. As it is now, the odds are astronomical--In the future? Maybe not so much. Personally, I'm waiting for someone to figure out that there are scads of women out there who would love to have the baby of some celebrity, and for the clinics to figure out how to capitalize on that fact. "Want to have Justin Bieber's baby? Come on down... We'll hook you up!". Kinda wonder why this hasn't happened, already, and what kind of money these celebrities could make doing it. All the chicks throwing panties up onto the stage for guys like Tom Jones, and other big stars...? I think there'd be some money in it. Too bad there's all that pesky child support legislation in the way, but if they fixed that...? LOL... Shit would get interesting. Imagine finding out that the kid you're paying to raise with your wife was actually the result of a trip to the celebrity sperm bank that she snuck in on you? |

I'm in the process of trying to make a flowchart to game out how they might assess and plan their future relationship.

If you didn't grow up together, why let a little genetic truth stand in the way? It's not like you're really brother and sister in any kind of meaningful way, only through some sciency-BS you can't see with your eyes. Right? What's the big deal? Get vasectomy, tubal ligation, or both, then adopt and keep your damn mouths shut.
|
|
I'm calling bullshit.
It soon became clear that the pair were in fact unwitting siblings – both having been adopted as babies to separate families when their parents were killed in a car crash. View Quote |
