Personally, I'd document the hell out of how I came to have found it, pictures, etc. Save to solid state device, print on a home printer, and store that evidence in a safe.

Then go about converting that gold to money or useful items.

I want to know the story of the Russian tank crew. There's probably a pretty decent WWII movie somewhere in that tale, if we could ever know it.

As for those two guys, I got nothing. At least they only found several million in gold. Imagine the horror if they had also found a couple of disassembled MP40s! I swear Britain would have needed to evacuate the entire town, the towns next door and call in about half the nation's bomb squads to deal with the horror of automatic weapons!
