I just got interviewed by the local nightly news.  If my interview airs, this will be the 2nd time this year.  The last one made it all the way up to the evening national news.  I also got interviewed and made the local news when i was 12 or so.

Made the news quite a few times...running a backhoe to fix a sinkhole, cutting a guy out of a car after he was in a crash, working a master stream on a structure fire, and interviewed a few times when I was fire chief.

Yeah, was in a local McDonalds commercial when I was a kid.  Won a local drawing contest and got to be in a commercial, won a BMX bike and got a free McDonalds birthday party for me and like 10-12 friends.  I was pretty popular for a few weeks there

I got roped into being a stand-in in a TV commercial for my college.  There were a bunch of us sitting under the trees looking cool and studious.  After editing, I was the "feature".

They showed that piece of shit for years.  About every Saturday at 2:00 AM I'd get a phone call from one of my drunk friends saying "I saw you on the TV!".  Never again!

Yeah, for about 20 years. Former reporter/anchor/producer. The last time I was on air was at the Branch Davidian standoff.

I preferred behind the scenes work.

I was in New Orleans right after Katrina.  Our rig was stationed in the staging area right outside of the convention center.  The USS Iwo Jima was docked there and was being used as hospital.  We went onboard to transfer a patient to an actual hospital.  Got stopped and interviewed by Greta VanSusstren.

We did a flyfishing for sharks segment for Eye on LA years ago. I also did a search and rescue segment for the local news outlet. Made it in the news on a famous S&R on shasta. A couple other times for various things I was involved with, all good, no Americas Most Wanted stuff...

Well at least you didn't get fired for it.

Only time I've been on TV that I can recall, was for a local children's show back in upstate NY.

I've conquered TV, magazines, newspapers, the Internet and talk radio. Haven't been in a movie yet

First time I was on TV I was tiny, giving my thoughts on the first Space Shuttle landing after Challenger. Since then I've been on several times, from tornados to sporting events to all kinds of stuff. Never a scripted show though.

Back in 2005 I was on Mail Call on the history channel show. Had no idea, was just watching it then "hey that's me!" Lol. It was a special about the militaries role in the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. They had footage of my platoon and an interview with our CSM.

Here is some of the footage.  This reporter lady tagged along on a patrol.  Apparently the History Channel bought some of her footage and used it in Mail Call.  In the first shot of 3 guys walking, I'm the one on the left.  Later is an interview with an older guy outside the D-Day Museum.. I'm in the background (the guy on the left again).  Then at the end the camera pans to the left and stops on me right as I turn toward the camera (with sunglasses on).  It was more interesting to see the footage on Mail Call  The footage even includes this psycho dude we tried to help, but he was just sure we were directing him to a boat that was taking people to concentration camps lol

(Before someone jumps my shit.. we were ordered by the general in charge of everything out there to carry our weapons unloaded and slung across our backs and to wear our berets to basically differentiate us from the national guard in the eyes of the locals.  Guard was there to help, we were there for security.)
