The tattoos don't bother me, but these idiots who put these big meat hoops in their ears to stretch out their ear lobes like some kind of Zulu warrior, I look at these people and just shake my head. Saw a late 20s/early 30s girl working at a fast food restaurant recently. She had a strip of cloth tied around her neck mostly hiding her neck tat.
I'm 51, and spent 6+ years in the Navy. I don't get the appeal of tattoos, but to each his/her own. Just don't bitch if your actions have consequences. |

My only contribution to this thread, is that gauged lobes are VERY difficult to repair well.
So if there is ANY possibility that you want to have "normal" lobes, stop now with increasing the diameter. And, BTW, the $1-2K estimate is for EACH lobe.

Every generation grows up hating everything about their parents, and vows to be "different." Eventually, with a little maturity, they almost all have a "OMG I've become my mother/father" moment. This would be one symptom of that.
I've said for years this tattoo fad is silly in the extreme, because fads come and go--but tattoos just come, they never go.
