I would say the painting can be interpreted both ways.
In the context of history the house must be just as threatening to the Native-American ? Live in Yurp so what the hell do I know |

Hypocrisy at it's core. “We cannot rewrite history..." But they certainly can when it comes to the Confederate Flag
It's a blatant double standard. Would this Jennifer Lynch support putting an "interpretive plaque" at South Carolina's capital to put the Confederate Flag "into context" so they can fly it again? Something tells me no |
