Geissele is sexy and well made. I have one. Is awesome. The newer MI rails look pretty good too but I don't have any experience there.

Geissele (for an all around bombproof handguard) or ALG (for a slim, MLOK alternative to the KMR).

I have nearly everything and I have to say that ALG makes the most ergonomically correct, best feeling rail out there. Yes I have Geissele Mk8 rails.

I have another mk4 ready to to be put on another upper I'm building. But you can't stop at just the Geissele rail. You need the rail, trigger, optic mount, buffer spring/weight, and charging handle

SLR. I go with them first. Only rifle that doesn't have one is because I needed a rail that was able to fit over my 9mm can.

Got an SSA and an SSA-E in that parts box. The SSA-E is going on a heavier weight more precision AR that will have a scope in a G mount. Also have Bobro though. Haven't drank the KoolAid on the G buffer kit yet, but mostly because it is pricey and I already have two BCM buffers/tubes/springs in that parts box. The G kit looks nice though. Got plenty of G tools - punch kits, reaction rods, etc.

I have had a few MI rails. I really don't like the little divots they put on the edges in between the mlok slots. The only MI rail I have left is the ssg12 because it's comfortable. ( And a ak handguard quad rail. ) theyve been around for a while but their newest stuff doesn't compare well with Geissele, ALG, SLR, Centurion, KAC, and a couple others. Theyre decent, but they have a lesser attachment system and are not as comfortable as the best of the best. YMMV. |

Of course...I did own one too. Side by side with a UTG Pro, and the Pro is better in every conceivable way. My current rail is better than both of those. Long as you like it. But they are the only manufacturer I'm aware of with such an asisine attachment method. |

I installed a Geiselle rail for a customer a couple of days ago. It looked great and felt solid. However, it felt a little large and blocky. Not terrible but not sleek. Kind of how a Glock 21 feels.
