Local guy is selling his Vortex 4-16x44 HS-T "like new" with box for 450. They are listed everywhere at 550-560. With a 12% off code at OpticsPlanet they are like 500ish. Am I saving 50$ or making a mistake?

Edit: oh yeah i'm leaving in 13 minutes to go meet up and purchase it.

I try to not buy used optics. Haven't had great luck in the past with it. People treat their optics like shit

If you made a deal, why are you asking now?

Vortex has an unlimited lifetime warranty.
Fully transferrable. No receipt required. Save some bucks and take the deal.

Do they?

Not in my experience.  Maybe the guys who buy cheap chinese junk on eBay treat their optics like shit.

Typically, people who spend more than $300 on an optics take decent care of it.
