I believe there are 40 types, HPV 16 & 18 are the most dangerous and cause almost all throat cancers in men. A friend at work got it a year ago . Had to have surgery, chem and radiation. He just returned to work, lost about 50 pounds , all sense of taste is gone and while he beat it, the chem and radiation really screwed him up. He is just 40 , but now looks like he is about 75 years old.
