Interestingly, 1964 guns began with sn 2,700,000...your rifle is considered a "post-64" gun.  Value is impossible to pinpoint without photos & model, but the majority of post-64 model 94's in excellent shape should fetch around $300 (operative word here is 'around').

Local gun stores have entire racks full of used M94's for $200.00.

For some reason pre 1964 manufactured M94's sell for more...but there is no reason for it. Pre 64 M70's had controlled feed, so a pre 64 M70 is more valuable for those that want that feature. Some people took that to mean any pre 64 Winchester is worth more.

I just bought one this last saturday for $250.  Mine is in the 298XXXX range.  Made in 1966.

I probably could have bargined, but it's in good shape, I saw it and liked it, and don't mind supporting good local businesses.

Your m-94 is a considered a post 64 model. The pre-64's bring more dollars because of manufacturing techniques. These were all machined parts. Where as the post-64's had a lot of stamped parts and some forged recievers even. The fastest way to tell a pre from a post model is to look at the bottom of reciever. The pre-64 will have a screw just ahead of the lever, where a post-64 will not have the screw. A good pre-64 plain jane carbine can bring as much as $400.00 in 90% condition. A post 64 in the same condition around $225.00-$275.00. At least that is what the Northern Minnesota market will pay.
