I went to both recently and Raising Cane's wins in every category: chicken strips, bread, fries, and sauce. The only thing Zaxby's won was its fancy drink machine while Raising Cane's only had a traditional drink dispenser.

I like Zaxby's better, they have pretty good salads. Raising Cane's is not low carb friendly.
Zaxby's is good, never seen a Raising Cane's. So as is typical internet fashion I will just tell you that you are wrong without having any actual personal experience.
Does Raising Cane's have a Kick'n Chicken sandwich? If not, you're wrong.

I have access to both of them plus Southern Alabama's Foosackly's. It's not even close. Foosackly's has a better product, better sauce, better service, and cheaper prices to boot. Nobody around here picks Zaxby's or Canes over Foosackly's except maybe for convenience of location. There is a line around Foosackly's like at Chick-fil-A at rush times.

Zaxby's is shit, people from the Carolinas love it, but they like vinegar flavored BBQ as well so you can't trust their culinary tastes.
Love me some Cane's. Only place I've been in years where the chicken hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp for hours/days.
It's cooked up fresh just for you. Super juicy. |
Zaxby's is 15 minutes away and pretty good for fast food.
Don't have a Raising Cane's around these parts and it's a long drive to Oklahoma. ETA- vinegar based BBQ sauce is the only kind of BBQ sauce. If I want a bunch of sweet shit I'll buy a candy bar. |
Agree 100%. When I lived in Vegas we had Cane's, moved to Alabama and there is only Zaxby's and Tenders. Cane's is better than both by a mile.

View Quote Foosacklys is great. Love their fries. I remember eating at the original at Airport and University almost twenty years ago. Now they're on the way to becoming a regional franchise. You can't fake the Foo! |

Oklahoma
Keep your comments limited to earthquakes. Everything else is just noise. |

There are now both within about 10 miles of my house, and I've tried both.
Cane's was good, but the one time I went there, the chicken strips were partially undercooked... or the breading got wet somehow. A little bit of the end was soggy. Other than that, it was good. The lemonade was good. Zaxby's was pretty good, too, and had more options. The drink machines are a nice touch. |
Popeye's is the best shitty fast food chicken place. And I've flown Cane's CEO several times.
I've never been to any chicken wing places except Zaxby's. I was last there 3-4 years ago. Their wings kept getting smaller, and smaller. The last 10-pack was ridiculous. No one would believe how small they actually were. When I get gipped on food I don't go back.

There are several in Mobile, Semmes, Spanish Fort, Fairhope, and I believe one recently opened or will open in Pensacola. There may be more. I have only been in Alabama for 8 months. A 7 piece tender "bigger box" with fries, slaw, toast, and 3 sauces is less than $7. A regular 5 tender box is $4.99 for the same stuff but only one sauce. |

Wow. Our local Zaxby's is a grease pit, and I normally don't mind some grease.

I've never heard of Raising Cane's before but the Zaxby's we have here in town is a shithole and their food sucks.
Can'e shrinking chicken fingers pissed me off the first time I ate there after ARFCOM commented on it.
Still taste good, but they're obviously smaller. |
Chicken finger vs. chicken finger I'd say Cane's has better chicken fingers. Their sauce is better than Zax sauce and their bread is better.
Zaxby's has better fries, and a lot more variety on their menu, though. Try a birthday cake shake. |

I haven't found a sauce yet that I like more than Tenda Chick (Montgomery), but I'm always willing to try a new one. |

Zaxby's is okay. Their sauce sucks but they have better fries than Cane's and their salads are huge.

Don't get the spicy, it's not that hot but it's loaded with something that causes wicked diarrhea. I remind myself of this at least once a year. |

No Zaxby's here that I know of. Raising Caines is good product-wise, know I am getting "real" chicken and it is fresh. But, it is flavorless and I don't like the sauce. Love their Texas toast, though. Prefer Popeyes spicy tenders, but those are hit and miss.

I haven't tried a Zaxby's or Cane's sandwich yet, so Chick-fil-a wins there.
There are a lot of mentions of restaurants I've never heard of! |
