So maybe I'm dense, dumb, or naïve, but what's the concern...is there a real threat of hackers getting into your computer and turning on your web cam?
A lot of folks have theirs taped off at work, and I'm thinking to myself, do they really think management is spying on them? And if so, shouldn't they be working anyway? I mean I can walk right up to their desk and tell pretty quickly who is on face book and who is actually working. I don't need a camera to do that. |

He is a tiny bit more of a celebrity than you. Nobody wants to watch you jack off to internet porn let alone publish photos of it or blackmail you with them.
That said, I tape over my camera. Heck, I don't even want to see myself jack off. Might cause PTSD if anyone else saw it. |

I got one of the giveaways with the sliding window over the camera. We use web teleconference products for meetings, and it has an annoying property coming online with camera on.

My boss does this as well, as if its going to stop anything, what about the mic built into the laptop, you going to tape that up as well? |
