Woohoo! I came home this evening to a gear queer's dream: not one, but two packages with coolguy gear.
At a training course I went to last year, a SWAT cop showed me this badass Colt linerlock knife with some really cool looking serrations on the blade. My little heart went pitter pat and he told me he'd talk to the buddy who ordered it for him about finding me one. Well, there it was in the mailbox, waiting for me tonight!

(no digital camera, so this will have to do)
Also, for a while I've been looking for a good shotshell bag to carry the load required to feed the Fastest Shotgun in the World, my Benelli M1 Super 90. Well, I considered trying to bitch up a SAW pouch or something, then I saw on some gear forum a mag dump pouch made by a guy named Jon Nelson, AKA recce gear. I emailed him about doing some mods to it, and he didn't think it would be a problem.
My pouch came in the mail today, and it is a work of art. It's coyote tan cordura and has PALS webbing to attach pistol mag pouches or a first aid kit to the outside of it. It has six elastic loops inside and up high to hold slugs, and it looks like it will hold about 50 2 3/4" 00 buck rounds along with that. The two edges of the opening have stiff tapes or something that overlap when you zip it shut, or even leave it open just far enough to jam your hand into. They look like they would do a good job of keeping your ammo from flying free if you (I) fall on your (my) face. He also put a removable leg strap on it for me. It's removable so I can take it off, dump out the shotshells and still use the thing as a mag dump pouch if I want to. Dual use is kickass.
I will use the hell out of both of my new toys, as well as borrowing lordtrader's digital camera so I can post pics, and I'll get back to y'all with reviews.
Gotta go play now.... [;)]
