I went up to visit my buddy, 'prospector', today.
He'd just picked up a '98 Sportster 1200 XLH for his Wife for Mother's Day.
HIS ride is a '02 Dyna Wide Glide.
That's me on the DWG in the picture.

I haven't ridden a motorcycle since WAY back when, a Honda 125...after a few beers.
Anyway, today I rode both the Sportster and the DWG up the road and back and I was thrilled to have done it.  I thanked both 'prospector' and his Wife for the opportunity.
I see a Road Glide  in my future!
This one:

The last "bike" I road was in 1978.  Yahama 750cc.

I've seen so many HD's on the road lately that I've been starting to dream about them.

I'm afraid that if I road on one I would be hooked.  But.............

Great pics! I hope you get a "scooter" soon! You will love it!

Here's one of my '65 Electra Glide. I'm on the right, friend and his '97 on the left.

Here's an interesting factoid: 80% of the Harley Davidsons made are still on the road.  The other 20% actually made it home!

Badoompah!

Is this thing working?  Hello?  I can hear you breathing...

well, my 1947 74 inch knucklehead is still on the road. my 1977 superglide runs perfectly, also.

now, if only i could find time to put this flathead together!

nothing like a harley!

There is not a motorcycle manufacturer out there (with the exception of Harley clones and maybe even them since they tend to use S&S engines) that can't run rings around a Harley. (The new VRod is a technical improvement, 'tho a visual abomination which catapaulted HD into the latter half of the 20th century...)

BUT there is not a mototcycle out there that is as fun to ride or as cool.

I wouldn't trade my custom '94 Softail for any bike. (Well, maybe a restored Indian Chief..)

As a HD rider for the last decade, it's also fun to see all the "rugged individualists" wearing EXACTLY the same stuff!

Another thing, am I the only Harley rider who's enjoying himself when riding? I don't motor around with a shit-eatin' grin on my face, but why do so many people put on the cool scowl look? How bad is it riding a 20K scoot?

*You should purchase a really bad ass set of tools and an oil resistant cover for the garage floor BEFORE you purchase the Harley.

Sorry, but just because they're asian doesn't mean they're hot.
Neither one is shaped like a woman, they've got no tits and no hips.  Women should be curvy.  This does not mean they've got to be fat.  The one on the right is also buck toothed.  This "Asian women are hot" thing has gotten completely out of hand when people are looking at butt-ugly women and drooling.
curves with no fat:

Yep, great to be back in the wind again. Not much time for anything for the last year after having major spinal surgery last August. Gonna have to stop carrying on like I did when I was 15! Still feel like it though! You men who have felt like sh@t for years and then feel great know the feeling. It is sure great to have the old body working again and lose most of the worst pain you could ever imagine. Sure helps the mind and Soul. Have fun on the bikes. I'm going out on the "Big Pig" now, 2000 FLHT, 103 Cubic inch Torque Monster.

Hard to keep her in a straight line while riding the backroads here in hill country. She keeps wanting to divert into the pastures. I don't know if it's the bulls or the hay bails but it sure makes for a wild ride.

BTW does anyone know where I can get a horn that sounds like a cow? You know... Mooooooo!

Like the paint job, also smart move having the helmet on, no big chance of the photoshop army hitting you up for too much embarrassment.

BTW your driveway is too clean [V]... start spilling some oil on it. [;)]

[blue]Awesome! Doesn't matter what you ride (From Aprilla to CZ to Harley and Honda to Indian to Victory and Kawi or Suzuki and Yamaha and everything in between) just get out there and have fun. Having crashed at over 130mph I'm a very strong supporter of helmets. They work! I own sport bikes, scooters and my new VTX 1800. I have an equally great time on all of them.

Me! --> http://www.cbr600f4.com/gallery/CBR600F4/afj?full=1 (Shameless plug!)

Aint my driveway. Met a friend at his house(new house, just moved here) to do some riding on a Sunday. My scooter looks nothing like that now. Paints the same but I added a sheild, sissy bar, saddle bags, highwaybars, pegs, and pull-back risers. Gettin' ready for trip to N.O. at the end of the month. About 6.5 hours on the highway. Got an mp3 player to keep me awake. Really looking forward to it.
