So do you love, hate, or do not know what it is?
I grew up eating grits and I do love it - even had it this morning with a slice of cheese. Red |

Grits mixed with butter, scrambled eggs, ham, cheese and tater tots.

Grits, with butter and salt with a side of fried catfish and collards are pretty awesome.
Wife makes a grits, bacon, egg and collard green casserole that fantastic as fuck. Up here people wonder wtf grits are.. |

Either for breakfast with eggs over medium or for dinner with trout filets. I could live on these two meals forever
|
|
Love them but I eat them like the Northern I am, butter and sugar.

People like butter and cheese, but not thr grits themselves. Speak for yourself. Haha, you know what people never put in grits to make them palatable? More fucking gritts, but butter, cheese, syrup, sugar etc in vast quantities to make the damn things edible. |
|
Love'em. Didn't know what they were until I moved to SC, but now I can't get enough of them.
|
|
I like to throw some breakfast sausage, cheddar, chives, salt, pepper and some hot sauce.

If done correctly i can eat those fuckers plain, but a little bacon and butter never hurts. |

No "It's edible and I'd eat it if somebody put a plate in front of me, but I'd rather have some hashbrowns"?
|
|
I fucking love grits! With butter and cheese or just with butter.

I really enjoy them. Grew up with them and although I haven't eaten them in a long time, I always eyeball them at the grocery store.

Southern born, bred, and raised my entire life. Grits is one of the few foods I cannot stand to eat!

Love them but never get them. There's a little soul food place in Georgetown, SC that has the best shrimp and grits.

Tasty, but nutritionless and calorie-dense That's why you add butter, bacon, salt and eggs Yup, or you could just skip boiled pigs feed all together! Yep or you could just give up and vote for bernie sanders and hitlery in 2016. |

Where I grew up, grits were always served if you went out for breakfast as a staple.but then again, sweet tea was always served as well. Now that I live in Arizona, you have to ask for them as a side. I usually eat them with butter, salt and pepper. A dash or two of Tabasco doesn't hurt either.

|
Only if made correctly. I had some in KS that were the worst grits I ever had. It was like eating wet gravel.
