It's over, Johnny.....
AP: Ted Cruz now mathematically eliminated from clinching GOP nomination before convention NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump is now the only Republican candidate with any chance of clinching the nomination before the convention.
Ted Cruz was mathematically eliminated Tuesday after Trump’s big win in the New York primary. Trump won at least 89 of the 95 delegates at stake. John Kasich won at least three and Cruz was in danger of being shut out. There aren’t enough delegates left in future contests for either Cruz or Kasich to reach the 1,237 delegates needed to win the GOP nomination. Their only hope is to block Trump and force a contested convention. There's still 2nd place. He has to beat Kasich. He'll get the backing of the GOPe over Trump in all likelihood. Because it will be easier to sabotage Cruz, more so than Trump, in the general so that Hillary wins.

|
Everyone knew he would not get to the 1237 and nether will Trump. Everyone also knew he would not do well in New York.

I voted for Cruz in the primary, but I'm guessing I'll vote for Trump in the general. He's not the conservative voice that I'd like to see, but I like what he's done to the GOP leadership.

Teds dead baby.
Trump needs just 57 more delegates and Cruz is mathematically out. Teds campaign is now officially on death watch, day number 1. T-DAY +1 I think the "conservative" Cruz supporters should do the "conservative" thing and ask Ted to drop out. After all, a conservative wants to cut down on wasteful spending. |
|
I don't think even the most die hard Cruz supporter expected him to get to 1237
|
|
It ain't over until Prebius installs who he wants.
then its over. so is the general election, too. trump might lose to Hillary. whoever it is that isn't trump is going to get destroyed. |
|
|
Good thing he's spent time coordinating those delegates for the second ballet. Cruz has been planning on taking this at the convention for some time now; unless Donny can get 1237 he will not be the nominee.

The nature of the Republican "base" is such that no candidate can carry the base while attracting enough independents to be elected. Oh, well, HillaSand it is.

Never Trump, Cruz IS going to make it.
He's been busting his ass in every state for over a year, it ain't over yet, quit being defeatist guys. |

Well, instead of voting for an establishment shit bag they seem to be backing a liberal scumbag RINO so they aren't wrong. |

How is it the entire republican party is somehow RINOs?
The republican party defines what is a republican, not you. Bush, Romney and McCain are all Republicans. FULL FUCKING STOP. They represent the party. The sooner you wake up to that reality you will realize that YOU are the RINO. The party doesn't represent you. The party doesn't even like you. In fact, the party is mortified that you exist and wish you were gone. RINO is a fucking compliment. And whoever the party backs, is no different than Bush, Romney, McCain and whomever pisses you off because the party decides who is a "real" republican and who isn't. Now, shut up and give the party your money so they can shove in whoever they feel like. And, and forgot to add, trump is hitler. |

Took a look at Teds Facebook page, his post after the NY loss.
He is taking a beating in the comments section. Many calling for him to drop out. It's over for him, rational supporters are probably not going to vote for a sure loss. |

But yet still eligible to become the nominee per a representative delegate vote. He has met the requirement for states won to get delegate votes. Maybe the reform party has better rules for you that exclude non population centers from having a voice.

I am optimistic for a Republican winning this election because GD has decided Clinton is going to win and GD sucks balls at picking who is going to become president.
|
|
Ted needs to suck it up and kiss up to Trump for VP. He's going to fuck he and trump both at the convention and we'll end up with a RINO Establishment favorite pick. After that happens in November I'll stay home and watch this country to continue going down the tube.
I would have been fine with Trump or Cruz (for different reasons) but now Trump is the only one with a legitimate shot. |
