Holy fucking shit! It's like they are all fighting over who sucked more Obama cock than the rest!
To preface for outsiders, if you watch Washington DC local programming you get stuff from all over NOVA, MD and DC. Some districts in MD close to DC are up for grabs but it's all D's fighting over the seats. No R's at all, shocker I know. But the TV is being bombarded by candidates right now. With gems like this; "I will fight to preserve Obama's legacy." "The NRA has graded me as an F." "If elected i will protect Obama care." "I will fight for $15 an hour because everyone deserves a decent living wage." "I will fight to rid our streets of assault rifles and ban extended clips giving our children a chance to survive.

Maryland is, unfortunately, a lost cause. I was re-districted and now my state representatives are people who have no relation to me, ethnically, racially or politically. I keep on sending them emails asking why they think I, as a resident of Maryland, am inferior to the average person in Virginia, West Virginia or Pennsylvania? Those citizens can obtain a CC permit, or may not even need one. As a resident of Maryland, I cannot get a CC permit unless a dozen people have tried to kill me, and heretofore have been unsuccessful.

I truly wish we could erect a wall around MD. They do have a few good gun-related events: 1. The annual antique gun show at the Timonium fairgrounds. 2. The 18th century Market Fair at Ft. Frederick. 3. The Military Vehicle Preservation Association (MVPA) rally and flea market at Aberdeen. |

Yep, and VA is next. I doubt it. Virginia has the highest rate of machine gun ownership in the country. Permitless open carry, and easy concealed-carry licensing. It would take a lot to undo these things. |

If I was suddenly made dictator one of my plans is to depopulate MD, move the entire population to camps in North Dakota, and turn the entire state into a nature park for Virginia.

JFC I get emails from her campaign every single day, asking for money, and I don't even live in Maryland. The sort of platform she's running on is actually a perfect fit for Montgomery County, MD, a bastion of "limousine liberalism." One of the highest per-capita incomes in the country, but dyed-in-wool leftist ideology. She's pandering to these voters. |

Election season I usually do a media black out because I can't stand the political ads. Every damn one of them just makes my blood boil from the pure stupidity they hope people fall for.
Will occasionally attempt to listen to the radio on my drive to work, but will switch off the second I hear the cliché tellings of a negative political ad. I can't be the only one who does this. Wonder if radio and tv ads cost more knowing by airing them a part of their audience will immediately change channels or turn it off? |

This isn't going to magically change overnight but look at the trends with voting in Northern Virginia in the last 10-15 years. In addition to the population disproportion between the rest of Virginia and Northern is interesting. |

What are worse are suppertime ads for prescription meds for psoriasis, toenail fungus, erectile dysfunction, COPD, asthma, ulcerative colitis, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, etc., plus catheters and ostomy supplies. I don't need to see that stuff while I'm eating. Plus, the ubiquitous Liberty Mutual and Progressive (Flo) insurance ads are annoying. BTW, by law, they have to mention the side effects of those drugs. After hearing those side effects (including "death"), why would anyone want to take them? The one exception is the side effect for Viagra and Cialis -- an "erection lasting more than 4 hours." This is actually a backhanded, disguised selling point. I laugh when I hear that. |
