Tell me that wasn't planned.  Wonder which Federal agency set that up.  Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, leaves a donk with 8 AKs in the trunk unattended in that area of town unless they are A) An unimaginable idiot, or B) Following orders.

No context in the story for all we know it was an FFL holder transporting some stuff to his shop.

How do you know it was a donk?  It could have been vanilla and it was stolen because the thief wanted it to make into a donk.  Now he has the loot to sell to turn it into a donk.

GLENDALE, AZ - Officials are searching for a stolen vehicle that had several AK-47’s inside in Glendale.

Glendale police said the victim went inside the Circle K at 59th Avenue and Camelback Road to pay for gas. While he was inside, his 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass was stolen.

Inside the vehicle was eight unloaded AK-47’s in the trunk.

The stolen vehicle license plate is BKP0539 (Arizona).

If you have any information please call Glendale police.

It could be a Missouri phenomenon but isn't the mid 80s Cutlass one of the easiest to steal and statistically most stolen car?

I know for a long time the Missouri hot 5 lists always had the Cutlass at the top.

Actually, the red flag here is that the guy left the car and went inside to pay in the first place.

Almost all gas stations in Phoenix require advance payment for gas.  It's generally only people without a functioning bank account/debit card/credit card that have to go in and pay cash.  So how did dude who couldn't pay at the pump, acquire 8 AKs?

Let's hope they actually get the bad guys this time..........

This...

Doesn't seem right that this car was stolen

Yes, I called that.  Either:

1) He is making sure he doesn't leave an electronic trail of his gas purchases because he himself is up to something illegal.

2) He doesn't have a bank account or prefers to pay in cash when he's taking the AK's out to the range in the '82 Cutlass.

If the vehicle was parked at the pumps, how was it stolen so quickly, and is there no surveillance video of this?

This smells fishy all around.

Dumb. I NEVER pay at the pump. I ALWAYS go inside and pay with my debit card. Why? So the banks don't place $100 holds on my account every time I get gas.

I went to a gas station the other night and the credit card readers at the pumps were out of order, "must prepay inside".

When I have more weapons in my truck than just my truck gun I never leave it unattended.  People tell me I am overly cautious.
