Very nice. Hell, I don't think your original even needed a remodel.

Needs moar counter space! . Looks good man. I bet the dolphins are even happier now.

Looks nice!
Your before kitchen is nicer than my "now" kitchen. |
Nice!
I think you should have incorporated a copper snake in there somewhere though. |
Looks like those dolphins are jelly and are fixin' to drive their semi into your yard kitchen.
Two microwaves? WTF is going on in here... Ooooh, also... Pretty.
Very nice! I wish I could do something like that to my kitchen.
I like everything. Except the contractor beige the walls are painted.
I'd do a gray to match the counters. |
My wife would love that if it had white cabinets instead of dark

Did you keep the same floor? View Quote We kept the same floor. I really hung up on this b/c those 12x12 tiles are out of style....but I have always loved my floor and I have the same stuff throughout the whole lower floor of the house. I saw this guy at my favorite taco shop with a “Marble Restorer” advertisement on his truck and he was sitting next to me, so I struck a conversation with him. He was so enthusiastic on what he could do with his grinding and polishing technique that I invited him over to give me a demo. Long story short.........That guy was amazing. He made the marble floors look better than they did when they where installed 20 years ago. He worked his ass off. |

Fuck it I'll go.
How much did that run you? Looks great though. My boss is going through a kitchen remodel right now and I can imagine that it's hell having your kitchen tore apart for who knows how long. We just remodeled our master shower and that was a PITA having to shower in the smaller guest bath for 5 weeks. |
Excellent op. The kitchens the first place to start and then do the baths like you think. Those add value to a house better then anything else. And you spend allot of time in both. Enjoy.

The kitchen was 25 years old and has gone through 4 kids and too many parties, get togethers, and good times to even remember. It was pretty beat up. |

Damn nice job OP. Just that frig alone is some serious dollars.

Cool to see that if you work hard enough you can make enough money to do some cool stuff.

I thought the before pic was the new kitchen. Looked a thousand times better than our kitchen.

Obama says "you didnt build that". SO much counter space. what you going to use second island for? View Quote Basically storage. We really didn’t have much else we could do with that area short of tearing up the whole 3200 sq ft of matching marble flooring I have in the house. I insisted that all the floors match. i don’t have a picture showing it.....there was a wall there and a bar opening into the family room. Contrary to ARFCOM lore.....I am not a drinker and having a bar in my house was a waste.....so we busted out the wall and incorporated the bar and small side counters into a giant island in a completely open kitchen-family room design. It turned out very nice. |

I think your new kitchen kicks the old kitchen's ass! Your remodel was a definite success. I also agree that your old kitchen did look a bit dated. Once again, super nice kitchen!

Saw the first picture and thought that was your after picture. I was thinking, man that's really nice. Then I scrolled down a little. Absolutely beautiful.
