I've always wanted to make my single stack 1911 the same width as a double stack 2011.

So a proprietary holster for the proprietary grip-rail-frame armor thing?
Brilliant! Oh, and that's a lot of open air around that trigger. So, no thanks. I get why they did it (the light), but the trigger should be as minimally exposed as possible, like at the top only. Like every other light bearing holster in existence. |

Surefire makes a much simpler solution which only requires replacing the slide stop. http://www.surefire.com/mr07-mounting-rail.html Never used it since my 1911s have rails, but I have one somewhere that came with a light I ordered. Seems like a better option and doesn't require a proprietary holster and custom grips. |
