I've been down that hill and I'll bet that SUV slid through four or five stoplights on its way down. There's a printing company at the bottom next to the Hudson River that I had to deliver to. The hill is one steep motherfucker and I recall thinking "No way I'd want to try and drive on this hill in ice and snow."
Going down that grade with a 45,000 pound load of printing paper was bad enough in dry weather. Going down on ice would be inviting suicide, no matter what you were driving. |

That was actually some pretty good driving.
Look how many times they don't oversteer until the end. Could be luck, could be a lot of just hoping to catch enough grip. Gravity is a constant, so type of car would have very little to do with that |

It looks like a lot of the images from google image search lead back to Mitasnowchains. I think the idea for them originally came from Turkey. I don't know if there is a US importer for them. |
