This is one of those ceramic models that costs more than an airport cop makes in a month  I don't think Glock will cover it because I was throwing my own powder charges (Folgers) and was loading it kinda hot.

That's actually a feature of the tactical model - it's a detachable trigger guard for cold weather use with gloves on.

Known problem with those gen 1 and gen 2 models without the rail.
Send it in and they'll send you a new one. It'll be a gen 3 with a rail though. |

Now don't go off half cocked here.
How many rounds (refills) through this model of Glock have there been? Nothing lasts forever. 
Oh and have you ever washed this Glock in the dishwasher, these are strictly hand clean only, Preferably with Hoppes No. 9
