.been a troll for awhile now,like to read as its good for my head,tbi.mining accident.and a good lol is always welcome.but after seeing the wealth of knowledge on here and a recent post i thought id ask a question and also share some military history,if my grandmother told me straight,my grandfather was first to attain e-9 rank.can anyone help verify this.

i  took my grandmother out for drinks to Dick and Floyds in kellog id,and she was telling me about it.while she was playing slots i was bored and walked around the bar and found a book rack,in it was an guennis book.i found him in it.ive looked in others since and havent seen it.

The Air Force has 4 separate ranks that are E-9 pay grade. Mr. Airey was the first to reach the top one. If you found him in the Guinness Book, it may well be true. Contact the USAF.

He may have been among the first when the rank was created in the late 50s, but the first was CMSgt. Airey.

That was a long time ago and grandma may be half right, not the first, but close.

50s sometime,he retired i believe chief master seargent.back then he was stationed in alaska,im fitty and was about 11 when he died.he retired in savannah,was an every summer vaca.thanks for the info.
