Topic on the Five - Holder resigned as AG so he can quickly be confirmed in Ginsberg's seat by the Dem held Senate before November.

Dont they still have to be confirmed by congress?
I dont really see him getting past that stage. |
Yah, that will never get confirmed. Not even by this congress.
Fuck all that is right with this Country if that Piece of Dog Shit gets 'appointed' to a position on the SCOTUS...
if this happens, the final falling dominoes will hit the floor shortly afterword.
I guess him dying in a fiery car crash is too much to hope for....
I think he wants to cash in and get rich by by being on the board of a Wall Street bank the Left so ostensibly hates as a way of "protection" from Democrats in the future.

Holder didn't bail on the AG position for SCOTUS. He did it to avoid being prosecuted for F&F. He learned a valuable lesson from Hillary Clinton.
Him being on SCOTUS will not happen. I'm 99.9% sure of it. I can be wrong, but I really don't think I am. |
I think it's doubtful. He's toxic. The Republicans could make Obama look terrible in the hearings, and it would be much more difficult for the MSM to cover for them.
Watch that disgusting POS that is Janet Napolitano get a seat on the SCOTUS.

All the more reason to have him held in contempt. Getting a pardon wold be a death sentence for his nomination.

All is does it lose its sexiness and spotlight. |

If the Democrats can strengthen their majority in the Senate I think that would be a possibility, but if their majority weakens or they lose control of the Senate this Administration would be in for a serious challenge during the confirmation hearings that would greatly weaken it politically. So, Obama would really need to be willing to go to the mat and effectively end his presidency for Holder...not sure if he is willing to do that. I think at the end of the day Obama only thinks of himself.

After the election if the GOP wins the Senate majority the sitting Democrat Senators have nothing to lose since Reid nuked the filibuster rule on judge nominations. The loser Democrat senators can show their true colors and vote to confirm Mumia Abu Jamal if they wanted to do so. If GOP attains a Senate majority, Holder's successor will probably be confirmed by the lame duck Democrat Senate before Jan. 3. Lots of questions Republicans would like to ask his replacement would never be given a forum with a Democrat as chair of Judiciary Committee. |

Ginsburg has already said she's not going anywhere, and Supreme Court Justices rarely retire in the middle of a term without compelling medical reasons.

I would not be overly surprised if Holder ends up in the slammer some time in the future, or at least disbarred. I get the feeling some folks are not going to give him a pass even when we tries to disappear from the the public eye.

At 63, he's too old-plenty of 45 something libtard law professors out there to take Ginsberg's place and stay on SCOTUS for the next 30-40 years.

Ginsburg was responding to snarky comments from the Left that she should just retire already. Based on some of her comments I think she's kind of irritated her fellow Dems think she's expendable. |

If that's the case, law and order in this country is no more. We are ruled by a bunch of criminals.

It would be quite a challenge for them to come up with a nominee who is actually worse than Ginsburg, but I'm sure they'll try anyway. It won't be Holder though.

My dad was just telling me about this. If it plays out, this country will crumble and erupt.

all you guys saying that he wouldn't get confirmed are missing the point.
if you want to push something through that you know your boss will hate, you first bring him something that he'll hate even more. then you make your real play after he has already exhausted himself yelling at you about the first thing. holder will be the first thing. the person the left really wants on the bench will be their third nomination, after we have used up all our political capital shooting down the first two.

Holder replaces Ginsburg = 1 for 1 swap, no change to status quo
