I am kind of surprised drug smugglers haven't built a drug pipeline and sent liquid drugs across the border. Seems easier.

People don't seem to understand supply and demand.
If there is a demand, people will try to meet it. Think of oil for instance. If the price of oil were to surge even more as a result of increased demand, large amounts of money would be spent on developing technology and tools to tap into deeper reserves. If the demand was lower, it wouldn't be profitable to do it, therefore it wouldn't be done unless the government subsidized it. The drug situation is similar. Every time some police force confiscates drugs and brags about how they destroyed 20 million dollars worth of drugs, or whatever, they have helped reduce the supply which causes the cost to rise. As the cost rises, "entrepreneurs" start getting creative. |

They are smuggling, drugs, weapons, OTM's (i.e. Chinese, Middle Eastern Men ((MEM)), Koreans and others that wish to Destroy America), and probably trafficking other humans (slaves) of some sort as well. If they have nukes, suitcase or other wise man portal, these will be used in the tunnels as well. And wisdom dictates we should not discount that MANPADS haven't been sent through these secretive highways as well.... The issue is not just the drugs. That's what's hot in the media yesterday. They won't tell you the full story of what's being trafficked in the tunnels, and neither will the pertinent ABC groups divulge what they know or don't know (OPSEC). Rumor from Customs agents, off the record, is that nukes are here. Sure we can destroy the tunnels, but that is just a band-aid on a secondary effect. Their economies suck, quite frankly, and they will keep sending stuff over as long as it makes them money. ETA Call it the Silk Road of the South if you want |
