I don't mind a Muslim praying on a plane. I do mind any sort of dips hit screaming his head off like he's just been shanked.

This is exactly what I would have thought if I woke up to that shit on an airliner. I would have no choice but to instantly jump out of my seat and take the guy down. There would be nothing hateful or biggoted about it. You gotta do what you gotta do. Don't blame me, blame his exploding Islamist brethren.

Further evidence.

They are what you might describe as "difficult" to open in flight.

he was praying in a manner that would make a prudent person think that it might be his "Last" prayer and was about to attempt to open the emergency door...

I think I would have been arrested for assault when the plane landed.

because I don't fly to the middle east.

This.

I would (as would any reasonable person, I think) assume he intends to do something bad and this is his last prayer. I would act according to those assumptions.

Difficult?   I figure impossible unless you depressurize the plane.

I would say impossible, they seal from the inside out due to cabin pressure.

Impossible. They open inward. You have cabin pressure of around 12 psi (just a guess. I know it's not the 14.7 at sea level but it's close). Think of the surface area of the door. That's a lot of square inches each with 12 pounds sitting on them.

Not to mention the extreme low pressure on the outside of the door due to Bernoulli.

I think the Incredible Hulk could do it.  That's about it.
A quick Google search shows a common plane type is usually pressurized to about 11psi.  At 30K feet, the outside pressure is about 4 psi.  So that's 7 psi of pressure on the door (really even more, considering the outside air is moving and would exert less pressure). If the door is 3 ft by 7ft, that'd be about 21,000 lbs of force you'd need to overcome to open the door.

Even then I'd be worried he had a bomb of some sort on his person, or maybe something that could be used to break a window (small drill or something that could equalize pressure) before opening the door.

on a commercial plane a small hole would have no to little effect of pressure... as the air pumps will compensate for small holes
